Conference Venue/Site:
I-SPAN'02 (6th
International Symposium on Parallel Architectures, Algorithms, and Networks) will be held
on May 22-24, 2002 at the Ateneo Professional Schools, Makati City, Metro Manila,
Philippines. Rockwell Center is a modern residential, business and commercial complex
which houses a shopping mall called The Powerplant. It is very close to the Makati Central
Business area (Ayala Avenue and Makati Avenue).
Notes:
- Makati City
is in the South of Manila, and in the North of the International Airport.
- Rockwell
Center in Makati City is approximately less than one hour from the Manila International
Airport (or Ninoy Aquino International Airport).
- The Ateneo
Professional Schools (Graduate School of Business and School of Law) is located at: No. 20
Rockwell Drive, Rockwell Center, Makati City, Metro Manila, Philippines. It is close to
Jupiter St., Makati Avenue, and Bel-Air subdivision.

short walking distance to the conference venue) as the official conference hotel
accommodation. I-SPAN'02 participants will be given special rates, as follows:

Airport Transfer/Shuttle Service
City Garden Hotel arranges shuttle service from the airport to the
hotel and vice-versa. The fee is USD 15 (or PhP 800) from the airport to the hotel for a
car service and USD 10 (or PhP 500) from the hotel to the airport.

Notes:
City Garden Hotel is reasonably
priced. It is walking distance (10 to 15 minutes walk) to the Ateneo Professional Schools,
the conference venue. Oxford Suites, Millenium Plaza, and Century Citadel Inn are also
within walking distrance (10 to 15 minutes) to the conference site.
If you want to stay in the
Makati central business district (where the shopping centers are) we recommend New World
Renaissance Hotel (approx. 4 star rating), Makati Shangrila (5 star rating) and Manila
Peninsula Hotel (5 star rating). All these hotels are within 15 to 20 minutes by car/taxi
to the conference site.
