15th PMO Qualifying Stage Report
Thu, November 22, 2012
Almost 3500 high school students took part in this year’s Philippine Mathematical Olympiad. The Qualifying Stage examination was held simultaneously on October 13, 2012 in 15 Regional Testing Centers all over the country. Only the top 50 scorers or 208 participants (ties are not broken) from Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao and the NCR moved on to the Area Stage of the competition.
This year, we are also recognizing the top ten scorers from each of the Regional Testing Centers. We hope that by doing so, more and more students will participate in future PMOs.
The Area Stage was held on November 17 also at the Regional Testing Centers. The PMO Committee is now evaluating the examination papers and will release the Top 20 National Finalists soon. The Final Stage will be held on January 26, 2013 at the De La Salle University in Manila.
The Lists of top ten scorers in the Qualifying Stage from each Regional Testing Centers can be downloaded here::
